Vijayanagara & Hampi
Formed by the confluence of Tunga and Bhadra rivers at Kodil, Karnataka, Tunga Bhadra river which has a length of 531 Kms., thereafter flows along the border between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, ultimately joining Krishna river near Sangameswaram in Kurnool district of AP.The river has a basin area of 71,417 Sq .Km. The banks of Tunga Bhadra are abode for many a holy place. The remains of Hampi and Vijayanagara are located on the banks of Tunga Bhadra.
