The 725- Km. River is a tributary of the lndus River. Originating at Verinag Spring in the south eastern part of the Kashmir Valley, Jhelum river flows through Srinagar and Wular lake before entering Pakistan . The lower course of the river has been developed for irrigation and production of hydroelectric power. Khaquah-e-Moula mosque is one of the best examples for Kashmiri wooden architecture.
