River Narmada, means "Giver of pleasure" Also known as Rewa, Narmada rises from Amarkantak Plateau near Anupur district, flows through a length of 1,312Kms., creates a basin of 98,796Sq.kms.and is the Lifeline of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh'. Narmada is revered as one of the seven scared rivers for Hindus as per the ancient scripts. The newly built 182- meter tall statue of sardar Vallabhbhai Patel built on the banks of Narmada.
